Pandemic Log: Lab Week 2021
Another year living and working with COVID-19 has gone by, and I’m taking this week to celebrate my colleagues and all medical laboratory professionals across the country for their behind-the-scenes contributions to the healthcare system. From performing the crucial COVID tests to analyzing the everyday samples that help doctors and other health professionals make informed decisions in patient care - things in the lab have certainly been different in the year of the pandemic, but at the same time, we are still here everyday, global health crisis or not, looking after over 1.2 million tests per day in Canada alone. If there’s a med lab professional in your life, celebrate with them and show your appreciation.
